Infineon Technologies AG , held recently at the Nuremberg Exhibition 2010 PCIM Europe (2010 May 4 to 6 ) , and introduced for the highest power density and reliability of the design of the new IGBT module : using PrimePACK 3 Package voltage of 1700 V, current of 1400 A of PrimePACK module , and EconoDUAL series, the latest flagship product , the voltage is 1200V, current of 600 A of EconoDUAL 3.
Infineon's corporate vice president and general manager Martin Hierholzer Industrial Power said: " With the introduction of these two new products , Infineon again strengthened its position in the provision of the highest power density of energy-efficient , compact IGBT module technology leadership position . "
The new model is FF1400R17IP4 PrimePACK 3 module voltage is 1700 V, current of 1400 A, greatly broadened the PrimePACK series power range. Target applications include : renewable energy, locomotive traction , CAV ( electrical engineering vehicles, commercial vehicles and agricultural vehicles ) and industrial drives. The new IGBT module to meet the market demand for higher power and maximum reliability with the compact IGBT modules rising demand. This PrimePACK 3 module dimensions of only 89 x 250 mm. With the series of other products , the new PrimePACK 3 module uses a clever chip layout and module design optimization . This innovative packaging concept , improved heat dissipation and reduce the thermal resistance between the substrate and the heat sink , and minimizing internal leakage inductance.
At present, the new model FF600R12ME4 EconoDUAL 3 module is a popular highest power EconoDUAL series products , the voltage is 1200V, current is 600A. Typical applications include inverters, photovoltaic systems , centralized inverters and CAV vehicle diesel generators drives. This product in interconnect technology and thermal resistance to achieve the optimal module design , with high current efficiency, which is very efficient. With EconoDUAL 3 FF600R12ME4, users can increase the power range up to 30 %, while the product package size remains unchanged.
