Troubleshooting coder

1 , the encoder itself failure : is the faulty component encoder itself . And cause it not produce correct output waveform. In this case the need to replace or repair their internal encoder device .

2 , the encoder connection cable fault : the highest probability of occurrence of this failure , maintenance often encountered , should be given priority consideration. Usually encoder cable open circuit, short circuit or poor contact , then the need to replace the cable or connector. Special attention should also whether it is because cable is not tight , resulting in open welding caused by loose or broken , then the required clamping cables.

3 , the encoder +5 V power down : is the +5 V power supply is too low , usually not less than 4.75V, resulting in low power due to a power failure or power transmission cable resistance is too large and cause loss of power when required maintenance or replace the cable.

4, the absolute encoder battery voltage drops : This failure is usually unambiguous alarm , the encoder ( Figure 3 ) then need to replace the battery , if the reference point position memory loss, must perform reference point return operation .

5 , the encoder cable shield cable is not connected or off : This will introduce interference signal , the waveform is unstable , affecting the accuracy of communication , we must ensure reliable welding and shielded cable to ground.

6 , encoder mounting loose : This failure will affect the position control accuracy , resulting in stopping and moving the positioning deviation tolerance, or even just a boot that is generating a servo system overload alarm , please pay special attention .

7 , grating pollution which makes signal output amplitude falls , you must gently with cotton wool moistened with absolute alcohol wipe oil.
